The Whistle Rescue Aid is a simple yet powerful tool that can help to save many lives. A tool specifically made with earthquakes in mind, it is meant to target survivors who are trapped under rubble and require rescuing. It is a sad fact that many individuals who have suffered this particular mishap have met their untimely end due to the difficulty in locating them on time.
Designed by Park On-hee, Kim Myeoung-soo and Jang Young-seo, the Whistle Rescue Aid would be distributed by plane, dropping in and around areas of devastation in order to reach as many people as possible. The Whistle Rescue Aid also glows in the dark to be easily perceivable. It is a 2013 IDEA Awards entry.
