Lisa van den Heuvel's 'Aer' Collection Encourages Wellness in the Home

'Aer' is the name of a trio of objects designed by Lisa van den Heuvel that put an emphasis on encouraging wellness in the home.

In the collection of design-centric objects, there's Aer: Absorb, which uses fabric to filter pollutants in the home with charcoal, Aer: Evaporate cleans the airways and one's skin and Aer: Release uses soil-filled concrete vessels to purify the home environment, as van den Heuvel describes "Rain, spraying or dripping water on dry earth releases aerosols in the air."

This collection of beautifully designed objects were on show as part of Dutch Design Week 2016, where the convergence of design and wellness was a common theme among the items and ideas presented.
