The Well Lamp is an interactive design that is inspired by traditional water wells. Although it is made out of glass rather than stone and is much more delicate and romantic, the Well Lamp does boast the iconic rope from which the light bulb hangs off. Attached to a wooden handle, people can raise and lower the bulb as they please.
Designed by Mejd Studio, the Well Lamp is frosted at the bottom, which provides a good reason why some people might like to lower the bulb. When at the bottom, the light is diffused, which is perfect for a softer glow rather than a bright beacon. Available in two colors, white and blue, the Well Lamps are blown at the Czech glass workshop AJETO. They bring a touch of nostalgia into homes.
