Nightlights have remained generally unchanged over the years but the MyLite wearable LED is hoping to make nighttime traversal a little easier. Designed as a wrist-mounted wearable, the MyLite LED allows wearers to walk around in the dark without being obtrusive to others in the room. Activation of the wearable LED is handled through a single button and it also features an auto-off timer. The MyLite also comes equipped with two illumination settings and can be used for three to four weeks off a single charge.
Designed and invented by Phil Barker, this wearable LED was first conceptualized when Barker found out his granddaughter had trouble sleeping with regular nightlights. This is the primary focus of the MyLite, as it easily provides a solution for children who are afraid of the dark and will need to get out of bed to walk to the washroom.
