Wawa may be best known for its sandwiches, but now the convenience store chain is about to become a pizza destination with the official launch of Wawa Pizza.
According to the brand, Wawa Pizza will now be available at more than 900 locations across the Mid-Atlantic and Florida. The move is part of the chain’s ongoing dinner expansion, which aims to make it more of a mealtime destination than in the past.
To launch Wawa Pizza, the brand has actually added dedicated pizza ovens to many Wawa locations. This allows each store to prepare built-to-order pizza made from freshly made dough, a proprietary pizza sauce, and whole milk mozzarella. The pizzas are also available in two sizes (14 inches and 16 inches) and four flavors: plain, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and veggie.
