Water-Harvesting Vessels

The WarkaWater Towers Make Clean Drinking Water Easy to Access

The WarkaWater Towers designed by Architecture and Vision offer a smart alternative to drilling a costly water well in Africa. The units have a beautiful form that's made of bamboo, but more importantly, WarkaWater is functional, affordable and fairly easy to install. The towers can be put together from found or purchased materials for a total cost of about $550 and assembled in less than a week by four people.

When assembled, the tall water towers stand nearly 30' high and can harvest 26 gallons of drinkable water per day in its interior plastic pouch. By assembling these towers somewhere that's easily accessible, this is a huge time saver that prevents women and young girls from having to go on long walks to get clean drinking water.
