The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation worked in collaboration with retail giant Macy's to help students at a local elementary school stay warm during the colder season. The duo held a special event in Northern Virginia's D.C. Metro area, covering six different elementary schools and 250 students in the first and second grade.
The event ensured that students would stay warm, providing them with coats. The was a part of their 'Share the Warmth Coat Giveaway' that happens annually. All of the students were able to select their own coat in a private 'coat center' set up by Macy's. There were also Redskins athletes on site to assist with shopping purposes. Some players include Adrian Peterson, Chris Thompson, Tress Way, Rob Kelley, and more.
