Burger King Singapore is currently offering wasabi sauce as a condiment option for some of its signature dishes. In North America, many people associate wasabi with sushi. However, in Asia the spicy green condiment is regularly added to many other dishes.
To give Singaporeans a greater range of condiment options, Burger King has added wasabi sauce to three signature items. The horseradish-like sauce can either be drizzled over fries, used as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or slathered on top of the Fish'N Crisp sandwich. Unlike mustard or ketchup, wasabi gives each of the dishes a fiery kick.
The new Burger King promotion echoes a similar move by McDonald's, which recently began adding the spicy green sauce to some of its international dishes.
