During an interview with EW's Music Mix, Aerosmith's lead guitarist Joe Perry discussed the latest album the band has been working on.
In the interview, Perry accidentally let it slip that the album could be an exclusive to Wal-Mart.
They would not be the first band to go this route. Music legend AC DC released their Black Ice album through the mega retailer while the Eagles did the same with their Long Road Out of Eden album.
Implications - With so much pressure being put on industry execs after Walmart and Sony -- two big name companies -- backing the streaming of this music you can bet this record will be out in the near future, at least I hope so. Both parties can benefit from having exclusive rights to an album.
