The W September 2014 Magic editorial makes model Daria Strokous appear supernatural and straight out of the 1920s. Photographer Roe Ethridge captured Strokous within a dimly lit boudoir, making the entire production appear supernatural.
Stylist Giovanna Gattaglia matched the occult nature of Magic with patterned free flowing dresses, see-through knee-high tights and thick oversize fur coats. Together these pieces made Strokous appear retro as many of these items can be sourced from vintage fashion stores.
While the ensembles of Gattaglia work seamlessly well with one another, readers of W Magazine will at the same time be able to pick and choose from the outfits displayed. Whether borrowing from ruffled skirts or pointy red pumps, there will be much to take away from this set.
