Hydrofoil Technology Electric Boats

Vessev Introduces the Impressive VS-9 Electric Boat

Maritime transport company Vessev introduces a look at its latest design in the form of the VS-9 which is a fully electric boat that runs on hydrofoil technology. This works to the goal os reducing energy consumption by up to 90% and it measures nine meters in length.

This ensures that it can transport up to 10 passengers at the speed of 25 knots with retractable hydrofoils which elevate the boat out of water at high speeds. CEO of Vessev, Eric Laakmann explains the design goals and process, stating "Our objective is to break down the barriers to adopting electric vessels. From the outset, our goal was to design a commercial electric vessel that can use the charging capacity already available in many marinas to run serious commercial businesses."
