Voyager Espresso is a new coffee bar located in the heart of New York City's bustling financial district. The particularly austere design of the shop is a welcome contrast to the opulent spirit of Manhattan's Wall Street region, opting for grey steel-hued walls that make it look like something from the future.
The tiny coffee shop is located underground, adding to its seemingly futuristic, dystopian feel. Designed by local architecture practice Only If, Voyager Espresso is separated into two distinct areas: the glowing counter, where guests order their beverage, and a "grotto" area that seats patrons.
Voyager Espresso was founded by Australian entrepreneur's Aaron Barnard and Prudence Reid, who are aiming to bring some of Australia's booming cafe culture stateside.
