Facebook is creating a Voting Informational Center with the internet to register new voters to participate in the upcoming presidential election. The platform undertook similar efforts in 2016, and now it will attempt to help 4 million people register to vote.
the Voting Informational center will provide Facebook users with information about how to register, how to request a mail-ballot, where to vote, and if they will need an ID. Additionally, the feature can inform users if any changes are made to the election process or upcoming deadlines, including registration periods.
Other features will also be added to the platform including the ability to not see political ads, which will be available on both Facebook and Instagram.
