With its #WontBe53 voting campaign, Alleyoop reminds consumers that it took women nearly a century to earn the right to vote. After learning that 53% of non-voters in the last election were women, Alleyoop put together an initiative to support women ahead of Election Day.
In partnership with Vote.org, the beauty and body care brand is asking women to take the pledge to vote and doing so will give them the chance to claim one free Alleyoop product up to $20 in value.
As Alleyoop founder Leila Kashani told The Zoe Report, "We dove into research around why those women choose not to vote. We then realized that, in many instances, it involved being overworked, overwhelmed, time-starved, and feeling pressure from outside sources to conform to an outdated way of thinking—all things that we already currently talk about, and solve for, as a brand."
