The VONSUNG Glasshouse Breeds Confusion and Awe

The VONSUNG Glasshouse is a transparent wonder of architectural design conceived by designers Joseph Sung, Michiko Ito, Jing Chen, Gernano Cavalli and Grace Hsu. This piece of crystallized perfection was created for the 2011 Tramshed design festival in London, England.

Constructed using polycarbonate, the structure acts as a sort of "incubator" for a technicolor assortment of tasty treats within. The edible portion of the three dimensional installation was supplied by the bakery Viet Hoa. The lush spread of Vietnamese delicacies were surveyed by a audience of glossy Peter Pan Rabbits by Ligne Roset. This strangely surreal presentation of a fairy tale worthy house brings to mind the playfully unsettling work of Lewis Carroll. The piece invites the viewer to engage with the structure and inspires a touch of whimsy and a dose of curious trepidation.

The VONSUNG Glasshouse is a masterwork of design and bizarre presentation. If the aesthetics don't pique your interest, the food certainly will.
