Equestrian Purse Editorials

The Vogue Japan 'Modern Icon' Photoshoot is All About the Stirrup Bag

Taking inspiration from the true star of the photoshoot, which happens to not be model Valeria Smirnova, the Vogue Japan 'Modern Icon' editorial centers around an equestrian theme. Showcasing Gucci's iconic line of Stirrup bags, it is quite obvious where this inspiration was pulled from. While the look of the bags might not necessarily seem at home in the stables, their name certainly is.

The Vogue Japan 'Modern Icon' editorial was shot by Amsterdam-based photographer Denise Boomkens. The German beauty was styled by Satoshi Hirota. Set to appear in the September 2012 issue of the magazine, the photoshoot has a fetish undertone thanks to the dark outfits and sever ponytail, which contrasts beautifully with her white co-star. The looks were perfected by hairstylist Kanada and makeup artist Coco.
