Nicole Pollard takes an easy-going vacation in the 'Sea Change' editorial for Vogue Australia January 2014 issue.
She lounges in beachwear and bathing suits that are an ode to the past, from a high-wasited, sculptural looking two-piece bikini to a vintage-looking one piece swimsuit by Chanel with a suit jacket thrown over top. The spread was styled by fashion editor Christine Centenera, while the beauty team consisted of Michele McQuillan, Victoria Baron and Fiona Hay. Photographer Benny Horne captured Pollard on her single-person beach holiday.
This spread proves that even a casual beach day can be high-fashion. Though 'couture' might not be the first thing you think of when you contemplate a day of sun and surf (I mean, think of all the sand,) the Vogue Australia January 2014 spread might make you reconsider.
