Virgin Orbit recently completed an important test ahead of its inaugural demonstration orbit launch. The recent test was related to the cryogenic captive carry abilities of the organization’s LauncherOne rocket, it was also the first instance of the LauncherOne flying above tee aircraft. The event was able to mimic the environment the rocked would be in during the actual launch, and it also allowed the company to rehearse the launch procedures.
These recent efforts show the potential for the company’s future operations. Virgin Orbit will now look to hold demonstration launches later this year. Following this, the organization could then be conducting satellite launches with its customized 747 plane.
Virgin Orbit is also having to adjust its operations due to COVID-19, however, some essential workers are bringing brought back to work.
