The Virgin America app is aiming to make the consumer experience as streamlined and easy to navigate as possible.
The design of the app was to be as simple and user-friendly as the airline's website is for consumers. For each screen, Virgin America wanted to have the least amount of information as possible to make it easy for consumers to look for and book a flight. App users are able to preset preferences before booking their flights to make the process more efficient without having to re-enter the same data for every trip.
Preferences include window or aisle seats, what class they prefer to fly, most frequent destinations and being able to save credit cards. The app also offers users Spotify playlists based on their travel destination. The Virgin America app isn't about marketing to the customer but rather about making their experience as accommodating as possible.
