Lowe's Launched an AR Video Chat Tool for Homeowners or Clients

Lowe's created a new video chat tool that uses augmented reality to help professionals visit clients or homeowners. The video chat tool is named ' Lowe's for Pros JobSIGHT,' and it will be viable to those who are members of the retailer's loyalty program free of cost. The tool will be viable until October 31st, and it can be accessed using any web browser.

The AR tool was developed in collaboration with Streem, and technology company that specializes in AR computer vision and machine learning. Following a session, a one-page summary report, along with video and photos, will be compiled to streamline the process.

The CEO of Streem's parent company, Rex Tibbens, spoke about the new tool, "By leveraging Streem's proprietary technology, Pros can conduct thorough, contactless consultations efficiently, accurately and conveniently​."

Contactless consultation will help the brand adjust to the changes in the retail industry brought on by COVID-19.
