New York-based creative art studio Ceeze is no stranger to working with shoes and accessories and the latest to drop is the special sustainable Victory Chair. It boasts the Baltic Birch as the silhouette's frame and has cushions that are made using reclaimed Air Jordan uppers.
Throughout the design, it features Nike's branding throughout the legs and it has also been shaped to replicate the shape of a Swoosh. The construction of the cushions dissects scrap sneakers before it is applied to Napa leather throughout the backing and carefully upholstered to the interior cushion. Every chair takes over 75 hours to create by hand and uses 35 sneakers per chair. The studio stated that "The impact that sneakers have had on the luxury goods market has never been more paramount. Whether the Louis Vuitton and Nike, Gucci and Adidas, or even Reebok’s recent "Eames" inspired collaboration; it’s clear that the culture, connectivity, and creativity behind footwear have never been better."
