Since 1967, Degage Ministries – a non-profit organization that helps to transforms and help rebuild lives of other homeless veterans -- has been ensuring that no one is alone. Servicing the low-income, homeless individuals, Degage provides programs to rehabilitate those in need, taking care of their basic needs such as, haircuts, taking a shower, brushing their teeth, meals, employment etc.
In light of Remembrance Day and Veteran's Day, the Degage Ministries Organization has launched a tear-jerking video of Jim Wolf – a former United States army veteran turned homeless. The video informs us that Wolf has struggled with poverty, homelessness and alcoholism for decades. In September 2013, he volunteers to undergo a physical transformation. The clip shows a woman snipping off his hair, dyeing it and finally gives him a suit. Jim is seen to transform before our eyes as he hugs the producers on set. We learn that since then he has been inspired to pick his life back up again including, finding housing and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for the first time ever.
