Architecture firm CAN has added a new extension unit to a London home dubbed the Verdant House. It is defined by a palette of wood and hemp materials along with a large curved window. It aims to bring a visual connection to the garden outside and it is nestled in the Stoke Newington neighborhood in London.
It expands the home with the timber framing at the rear to meet the ever-changing stands of the young family. Barnes shares, "The project was about creating a soft but high-impact design that is personal to the client and celebrates natural materials. Every part of this home is crafted with intention, from the trusses in the kitchen to the way materials and textures come together to create a space that reflects the client's tastes and the way they want to live."
