The Verb Hotel is a brand-new hip hotel located in Boston's historically and culturally significant Fenway neighborhood. The hotel is essentially a redevelopment of a 94-room mid-century motel that was built in 1959 but, despite being a local icon of sorts, fell into disrepair. The hotel was repositioned and named by the GBH design and advertising agency, who gave the hotel a new identity and played a big role in its interior design.
GBH's vision for the hotel's identity was perfectly captured in these photographs taken by New York-based design and architecture photographer Adrian Wilson.
The considerable site restoration work and interior design revamp was carried out by Boston's own Elkus Manfredi Architects.
The goal of the Verb Hotel's redesign was to return the site to its rightful place as a legendary destination in Fenway while offering everything a modern guest would want. The hotel has a highly authentic and hip visual look and contains plenty of references to music, art and different counter-cultural elements.
