Green living is becoming increasingly popular in the big cities, but Barcelona firm Capella Garcia Arquitectura went one step further and made the Vegitecture or Vertical Garden.
Reconstruction of the façade of the building did not include a new color, but instead the firm replaced it with a completely vegetal and natural makeover. This building was part of the Green Side-Wall project where the emphasis was placed on increasing greenery on original architecture. Vertical Garden is 21-meters high and is supported by a steel structure. Metal platforms with different levels have bird-nesters and a mix of planters. Noise reduction items that produce oxygen and carbon dioxide absorption are also featured.
These green thinking architects transformed this once plain wall into a garden full of life.
