Vegetable Weapon by Tsuyoshi Ozawa Advocates Healthy Peace

The Vegetable Weapon photo series is symbolic on a few levels. At first glance, it appears to be advocating a fight against unhealthy foods. Nevertheless, the photographer behind the series has a completely different purpose for these powerful images.

Put together by Japanese photographer Tsuyoshi Ozawa, the Vegetable Weapon photo series was shot around the world. She asked women to compile ingredients that would make a popular local dish. These ingredients were then bound together to form firearms. After posing with the 'guns,' they were dismantled and thrown into a cooking pot to create a delicious meal. Ozawa writes, "What was the parodying of a war scene turns into a scene of ordinariness and interaction in the form of the sharing of a meal."
