FatBurger, a California-based global quick-serve restaurant chain, debuted two new vegan milkshake flavors across 12 locations in Southern California -- the Vegan Vanilla Milkshake and the Vegan Strawberry Milkshake. These plant-based milkshakes are made using 'Craig's Vegan Ice Cream and are complimented with a non-dairy whipped cream.
"Our existing vegan items have performed incredibly well with not only vegans but existing Fatburger customers who are looking to try something new. We have no doubt our new Craig’s Vegan Ice Cream milkshake will follow the same trajectory," Andy Wiederhorn, CEO of FatBurger parent company FAT Brands, said. FatBurger's other plant-based menu items include an Impossible Burger patty and vegan cheddar slices.
As more consumers seek to reduce their intake of animal products, we can expect further shifts towards plant-based foods from other quick-serve restaurants.
