The Vannfall Water Jug has been created by Japan-based designer Jin Kuramoto for the Norway-based brand Nedre Foss as a sculptural kitchenwares product that's functional yet artistic.
The water jug draws design inspiration from moving water and has been achieved through a lengthy design process that includes a number of steps. This includes starting with a wireframe that gets wrapped with rope before applying a fibrous clay to the form; the model was then scanned, digitized and cut using CNC technology. The jug is then blown through injection molding to produce the units en masse.
The Vannfall Water Jug is available in both clear and green options, is priced at 1,100 NOK and is perfect for daily use or artistic display.
