The Valentino Spring/Summer Lookbook Goes Back in Time

Max von Gumppenberg and Patrick Bienert of 02gb took a page out of the Renaissance masters' book when shooting the Valentino Spring/Summer 2014 lookbook.

The Renaissance era refers to a period of cultural "rebirth," so to speak, throughout Europe during the Middle Ages. Artists during this time include Sandro Botticelli, Michelangelo and Raphael, to name a few.

02gb channeled the nobility and greatness of this cultural movement beautifully in their images. Whether it's floral motifs or jungle backgrounds, every composition included in the lookbook is imbued with a sense of mystery, and the allure that often accompanies it. Gumppenberh and Bienert successfully transport the viewer back to a different time; one that emphasizes enrichment, beauty and nature.
