Anatomical Heart Cakes

This Alternative Valentine's Cake is More Frightening Than Romantic

How To Cake It's Yolanda Gampp has constructed a bone-chilling alternative to a traditional Valentine's Cake. While most lovers will be munching on candy heart desserts, Gampp has released quite a more cake for those not feeling the love this season.

Specially designed for an avant garde Valentine's Day celebration, the Human Heart Cake is a delicious dessert that is very anatomical. Unlike the conventional heart shape, this cake portrays the look of an actual human heart, complete with veins and oozing blood. The base of the cake is made of red velvet complete with buttercream icing. Fondant veins are also applied for authenticity before being finished off with faux blood made of raspberry jam.

Though made for Valentine's Day, this cake would also make a great Halloween dessert.
