Circular Chinese Abodes

This Rural Vacation House Has a Breathtakingly Designed Undulating Roof

The rural Chinese village of Yuyao in Zhejiang Province has become the home of an innovatively designed vacation house that truly stands out due to its use of a beautifully undulating roof.

Dubbed the Treewow O - A Tree House of Curved Round Roof, this particular vacation home's eye-catching roof revolves around a trio of non-concentric circles, while the roof itself is made from gorgeous red cedar. Red cedar also makes a presence on the inside of the dwelling, with the first floor making ample use of the material.

Despite the rounded roof, this vacation home does indeed feature a rooftop terrace that residents and guests can climb up to in order to take in views of the unspoiled surrounding landscape.

Easy on the eye and respectful of its natural surroundings, this Chinese vacation house is a fine example of holistic architecture.
