Starry Night Scarves

The USA by Night Scarf is Printed with a NASA Space Image

USA by Night is a gorgeous scarf made by Slow Factory in New York that features a print that was made with data captured by the Suomi NPP satellite in 2012. The image on the scarf was formed with the satellite’s day-night band, which makes it possible to detect different wavelength ranges. When it's set out flat, it's apparent that the starry pattern on the scarf has been shaped to look like the United States rather than just a random sprinkling of stars in outer space.

The 52" Slow Factory scarf is made in Italy, from Silk and Modal. Since it's pretty cool to be able to wear a piece of space, the scarf puts you lightyears ahead in fashion.
