3D-Printed Army Barracks Buildings

This U.S. Army Barracks Project is Efficiently Designed

3D printing architecture technology has the power to transform the industry, which is what this U.S. Army barracks project identifies. The project will be located on Fort Bliss in Texas where it will be constructed using the Icon Vulcan 3D printer and features a design that was done by Logan Architecture. Each of the barracks will offer more 5,700-square-feet of space inside and will be the largest 3D-printed structure in the Western Hemisphere when completed.

The 3D-printed U.S. Army barracks consists of three buildings in all that will house 72 soldiers each and will all be created using Lavacrete material that has cement-like properties. The buildings are presently under construction, but no word has been announced yet as to when they will be complete.
