The Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City is now the home of an urban townhouse that is designed to help its occupants surround themselves with lush greenery to offer a bit of respite from the noise and pollution of the city.
Crafted by Room + Design & Build, this urban townhouse is aptly named 'Secret Garden' due to the fact that it has an airy, sunlight-drenched and greenery-filled garden located right at its center. What makes this urban townhouse unique is the fact that it is constructed on an oddly shaped plot of land hemmed in by alleways and other buildings, making for challenging architectural angles. However, Room + Design & Build have managed to splendidly work with the space to craft an urban townhouse whose layout is built round its garden, and which is spread out across as many as four floors.
"As one comes inside, he or she would surprisingly find a charming 'secret garden' with a big acerola cherry tree and diverse types of plants hiding at the furthest corner of the site," Room + Design & Build noted. "The garden brings soft daylight and cool breeze into the heart of the house while also providing protection and privacy thanks to the decorative hollow-brick walls."
