In September 2023, students will be able to enroll in a new esports-related degree program that the University of Sunderland has launched. Students who get a degree in esports event management will be equipped with the skills needed to pursue a career in esports event organization. The program is a BSC (Hons) degree that lasts three or four years, depending on the course load.
In addition to field trips and other interactive teaching styles, the course will use recorded lectures, workshops, and seminar sessions to educate students. Students will study the principles of producing esports events in their first year, and by the third year of the program, they will have knowledge on areas including esports performance, team administration, and more.
