Technology is becoming increasingly mixed with artwork and this interactive art installation by Universal Everything just goes to show that artists and designers are finding new and more eye-catching ways to exploit this relationship.
Created for Milan's 2013 design week line up, Universal Everything created a 4-sided video cube that is capable of capturing and depicting human movement. Although this may sound simple, Universal Everything's interactive art installation uses a slew of computer programs like Kinect and openFrameworks in order to create these stunning visual effects.
Even more interesting, this interactive art installation was made to support Nikes' already highly publicized Flyknit technology campaign that sees this international sports apparel seller creating funky, vibrantly knitted designs for their latest pair of cross trainers. A clever mix of tech and artistic vision, Universal Everything has created a work of virtual art.
