Simply put, the Style Edit: Undercover editorial is about the empowerment of women. The set wants to show that women of today can be more than their predecessors. The editorial challenges female stereotypes through power dressing; by mixing menswear-inspired, tailored blazers with peplum layers and mullet dresses with sporty day looks, the editorial becomes an androgyny-inspired shoot.
The creative minds behind this shoot thought of the models as a part of a team of crime detectives, similar to Nikita or Charlie’s Angels. They are representations of strong women: women who don’t let their job nor their gender tell them what they need to wear. With photography by Adrian Gonzales, styling by Maureen Manuel and Raymond Angat and production by Alvin Francisco, models Jessica Yang , Eriko Malabanan of Yeoh Models and Francis Ariosa of Cal Carries all shine to the best of their abilities in the Undercover shoot.
