All parents are familiar with the struggle of taking a sick child to the doctors, but one start-up called Tyto Care is aiming to negate some of those hardships, with a new at-home medical testing kit that can conveniently replace a doctor's visit.
The kit, which retails for an affordable $299, comes equipped with nearly everything a doctor would use to take a child's reading, including a "tethoscope, thermometer, otoscope and special camera, so parents can monitor the heart, lungs, ears and take high resolution pictures of the eyes, skin, and throat. Parents can use these devices and send the results to a doctor or pediatrician, without having to get a child up and out of bed.
