The latest update to the Typewise keyboard app includes a user-friendly honeycomb layout that's optimized for thumbs, plus autocorrection and language detection so that people can get their messages across with more efficiency and speed. Typewise 3.0 was created to enhance the experience of using a smartphone and it does just that by increasing the surface for typing, reducing typos by 400% and boosting typing speed by 33%.
As digital strategist and Typewise co-founder David Eberle revealed to Dezeen, "While everything about the smartphone is from the 21st century, the keyboard comes from the 19th century and hasn't really changed, It wasn't made for fast typing; it was made to suit the mechanical limitations of the typewriter."
