Edible Foodie Typography

The 'Twist Your Favorites' Campaign Spells Out Foods Using the Same Food

The creative agency of Analog Folk partnered with 'Side by Side' to create the unique advertisements for Sainsbury's 'Twist Your Favorites' campaign. The ads feature phrases of ingredients that are creatively spelled out in typography, which is made of the same food.

The mouth-watering pieces of food-written words range from sardines to horseradish. One exceptional example is the coffee typography poster. This delicate image features ground coffee beans made into a powder, which was then used to carefully spell out the word "coffee" in cursive writing. Additionally, each image is visually enhanced through the use of rustic backgrounds and props. All of the associated items in the images were found in antique shops and thrift stores.

As beautiful as the ads are for the Twist Your Favorites campaign, the ultimate goal is to encourage consumers to "liven up [their] favorite dishes by adding an unexpected ingredient."
