Motion-Sensing TV Remotes

Mindflix Uses TV Mind Control to Help You Navigate Netflix Titles

Netflix has been teasing a device that lets you browse content with TV mind control. The device -- called Mindflix -- is a version of the Muse headband, a brainwave-sensing gadget used primarily as a meditation-enhancing wearable. While the technology is undoubtedly impressive, it also allows binge watchers to experience laziness at a higher level.

Mindflix is equipped with motion sensors that enable TV mind control. Those wearing the headband are able to browse programs and movies by turning their head from side to side or up and down and concentrating on 'play' to pick a title. Mashable surmises the gadget would only work for binary options and does not actually measure brain activity or what your thoughts are.

Mindflix was created as part of Netflix Hackday, a regular internal event.
