Art is a reflection of life and one artist created truth-exposing illustrations to show the mundane reality that is associated with living in the modern world.
London-based illustrator and animator Steve Cutts released a collection of illustrations that shows just how sad life can be when chasing materialistic desires. Cutts say that "the insanity of humanity is an endless pool of inspiration" and that is greatly exhibited in his work.
The truth-exposing illustrations touch on issues such as consumerism with Santa Clause manning a sweatshop to create the technology that people are dependent on. In addition to that addiction, Cutts' art also exposes the social media dependence that is prevalent, especially amongst youth. He also doesn't forget to mention the "rat-race" that literally and metaphorically portrays the chase for money, in the hopes of finding happiness in material objects.
