Santiago Rumney Guggenheim -- a successor of famed art collector Peggy Guggenheim, tasks Mexico-based designer Jorge Eduardo Neira Sterkel with developing the concept of a treehouse gallery that will embrace nature and its correlation with artistic expression. The IK Lab is a forward-thinking space that is built with "woven jungle vines, warped portico doors [and] locally sourced wood."
The treehouse gallery offers an environmentally conscious experience for both the artist and the common visitor. The IK Lab's first exhibit features works of Artur Lesher, Margo Trushina and Tatiana Trouvé. With this amazingly inspirational structure in the Azulik resort in Tulum, Mexico Santiago Ramney Guggenheim and Jorge Eduardo Neira Sterkel are able to invoke an ambiance of gratitude and appreciation throughout.
