Life-Size Tattoo Tributes

The Tre Reising Gucci Mane Ice Cream Cone Sculpture is Made of 'Burrlap'

Fan doesn’t even begin to describe the Tre Reising Gucci Mane Ice Cream Cone Sculpture, which pays tribute to the iconic rap star’s face tattoo. Reising is a first-year graduate student at Michigan’s Cranbrook Academy of Art and has constructed a 5-foot replica of the tattoo made of hemp and burlap. As a fan of Gucci, this is probably the coolest piece of fan art I’ve seen, considering the significance of the ice cream cone in Gucci’s lyrics and album art.

"My current focus is taking pop culture rap references and using design rules to create pop art objects. I made the sculpture because 1) I’m infatuated with the man, and 2) his tattoo is actually pretty awesome, and no one could pull it off like he does." says Reising of his brilliant work of art.

In addition to creating this tattoo tribute, what solidifies Tre’s status as a Gucci fan is his hope that Gucci himself will buy the work. I just hope that Reising will accept Gucci’s Face Card as payment, as he rarely uses his bank card.
