Currently with distribution partners in Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya and Tanzania, Transformation Textiles creates affordable feminine hygiene products and underwear for African girls so that they don't have to miss school due to menstruation. "Their courage and tenacity to overcome their greatest obstacles and challenges, spur us on to keep pushing the limits of what is possible," TT writes on their website regarding their end users, that is, the girls that give them inspiration each and every day.
The team is hopefully looking to expand to more countries on the continent including South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi. Transformation Textile is also one of the participants in this year's Unreasonable Launchpad.
