Touchscreen Soda Machines

Samsung uVending Dispenses Food, Internet, Take Photos of Criminals

Samsung has added some new functionality to the old pop machine, creating a new interactive experience.

Soda vending machines have changed very little over time. Getting a soda has been nothing more than utterly basic - you put your money in, and out comes a bottle of pop. Perhaps a colorful image of a giant Coca-Cola bottle shines onto your face as you bend over to get your change.

Samsung is changing that. For one, the image is actually a giant touchscreen that can be dynamically and remotely updated. Their uVending design also offers Wi-Fi connections to allow users to link up to the internet. It can also take pictures of vandals with its built-in camera.
