Iconic Indian animation company Toonz Media Group has partnered with R&D firm Guardianlink to launch its own NFT design studio called Toonz NFTLabs. The new lab will create a variety of digital assets for brands and celebrities with a focus on kid-friendly content.
To start, Toonz NFTLabs will produce a range of NFTs based on Toonz's proprietary characters, including those belonging to popular shows such as 'Lucky Fred,' Paddypaws,' and 'PaJaMa.' According to the company, the newly established lab will work with over 1,000 designers from across three continents, assisting brands with both the creative and technological elements of NFT creation.
"The NFT marketplace provides us with the unique opportunity to generate traction for animation IPs even before they are produced or launched in the market. It provides a whole new world of opportunity for funding projects, a model that even independent creators and brands can adopt," said Toonz CEO P. Jayakumar.
