Woodford Reserve has announced the launch of its new limited-edition bottle, 'Toasted Oak Oat Grain.' The new product, which will be added to the brand's annual 'Distillery Series' consists of a fully-aged Woodford Reserve Oat Grain Bourbon that is finished in a second heavily toasted cask.
As a result, the premium expression offers drinkers a sophisticated flavor profile that expertly blends spicy and sweet notes including cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and citrus. In addition, the whiskey is described as having a dry finish that leaves a subtle lingering taste of chocolate bitters.
"Experimenting with new ways of making Woodford Reserve is one of my favorite parts of my job. It allows us to explore new flavors with our bourbon," said Master Distiller Chris Morris in reference to creating the all-new expression.
