Dee Williams, an Olympia, Washington-based woman, lives in a tiny mobile home with only 305 possessions. She built the 84-square-foot home on her own after being diagnosed with a potentially fatal heart condition at the age of 40. She wanted to downsize her life to make it less stressful so she converted a metal truck trailer into a furnished abode with wooden exterior. It even is equipped with a single burner for cooking, a shower, a sink and a loft-like bedroom.
It's currently situated in her friend's backyard and is solar powered. The self-project inspired her to start a company that teaches and encourages others to
do the same called 'Portland Alternative Dwellings.' It is "a company that provides resources for building tiny houses to the D.I.Y. crowd."
