With the basic functionality of his product is met, designer Akos Huber went on to have a bit of fun with this tilted table lamp. An LED light source is contained within a timber body that's not symmetrical and not terribly stable. It does stay up, but it does so with a very precarious appearance.
The beautiful assembly of dark and grainy wood is sculptural, taking a multifaceted form that enables you to slant and stand it to one side or the other. Like the silhouette of a stationary metronome, it flares towards the base, inviting you to tip it towards wherever you need illumination. A little aluminum panel helps reflect the light of the tilted table lamp to deliver a broader glow.
